One of the tasks our team had to carry out was to affix the front top canopy of the rescue boat, which had been detached during the sea voyage. Masking tape is first placed in position to ensure perfect alignment.

Having cleaned the surrounding surface, our technician proceeds to apply a coat of adhesive which will be allowed to dry before the patch is applied. Due to vapour emitted from the adhesive, it is mandatory for all our technicians to don respiratory protective equipment while at work.

The repair strip is carefully selected, measured and hand cut to size before adhesive is applied.

In the background sits our CCS class SOLAS semi-rigid rescue boat.

The rescue boat is then pressure tested, washed and cleaned before transportation back to the vessel.
